Winemaker's Notes & Recommendations: A rounded full bodied Shiraz with soft lingering flavours of ripe plums and cedary oak. The wine exhibits lush full flavoured qualities and an endearing length of taste. The soft smooth characters of the wine allow it to be enjoyed with red meats, Mediterranean and Oriental cuisines.
Saddler's Creek WATERMARK Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
Winemaker's Notes & Recommendations: Dense aromas with plenty of oak and fruit that shows good integration. This stylish, medium-bodied cabernet delivers seamless flavours backed by solid, firmly structured tannins and a long persistence. This wine was allowed to ferment with maximum skin contact and then matured in French and American Oak barriques. A very approachable full bodied wine, with layers of ripe flavour and a lingering after taste. A flavoursome but fine wine to be best enjoyed with delicately flavoured foods. It can be enjoyed with white meats, pastas etc and is delightful with traditional hard cheeses, or even a serving of Antipasto. How about Barbequed lamb chops marinated in lemon and mint and rosemary.
