- The ingredients: Jameson Irish Whiskey is made with pure water and a combination of malted and unmalted barley. During the process, the malted barley or malt is dried by warm air. This ensures that smoke does not come into contact with the grain and that the natural taste of the barley shines through in the final whiskey. This is unlike the Scotch production process, in which peat smoke is blown through the malt and flavours it.
- Triple Distillation: In Ireland, one of the secrets of making whiskey lies in the slow, triple distillation in copper pot stills. This method of distilling gives the whiskey its remarkable smoothness and round flavour. Other whiskeys are distilled only once or twice.
- Maturation: The mellow, sweet taste of Jameson Irish Whiskey is attributed to the length of time the spirit is allowed to mature in seasoned American and Sherry oak casks that are stored for years in dark, aromatic warehouses.

Jameson, the world�s leading Irish whiskey brand, distilled by Irish Distillers has reached sales of two million cases for the first time. The announcement was made by Paul Duffy, Chief Executive of Irish Distillers at a recent International Jameson conference in Cork.
Over the last decade, sales of Jameson have doubled. In the past year alone, figures in the United States, Jameson�s largest market, show an increase in excess of 20% with other countries such as South Africa, Russia and Brazil achieving exceptional growth rates.
Another mark of its international success is that for the first time, Jameson has made it into the top fifty selling spirit brands worldwide and is now ranked with the international elite. Jameson is the fastest growing international whiskey brand in the world and one of the fastest growing spirits brands.
The past six months have been an exciting period of development for the global reach of Jameson with the launch of a new ¤40 million international marketing campaign, half of which is being spent on media.
