Dieser Cru Bourgeois war eine der Top-Empfehlungen der Falstaff En Primeurverkostung und
entspricht voll den hohen Erwartungen: Dunkles Rubingranat, Wasserrand, sehr verhaltenes Bukett, am Gaumen stramm,
gute Suplesse, legt am Gaumen zu, dunkelbeerig, Schokofinish, gute Länge. Exzellent!

Das glänzende Dunkelrot macht neugierig und animiert zum Probieren.
In der Nase dominieren rote Früchte und Tabak. Alles dezent und doch sehr interessant und spannend.
Am Gaumen kämpfen die noch etwas ungehobelten Tannine mit der ausgeprägten Kirschfrucht. Nach einiger Zeit dominiert die Frucht und klingt lange und angenehm nach. Der Wein ist erstaunlich konzentriert und hat eine tolle Länge. 88 P.

The 2000 vintage from Château Ramafort is a superb purplish red in colour. The nose has mellow notes of red fruits combined with floral scents; these you\'ll find also on the palate, which is extremely elegant thanks to its powerful yet supple tannic structure. Fine length, with tobacco and cherry notes.Chocolate and berry, with hints of tobacco. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, tobacco and cherry aftertaste. Very good indeed. I like the tobacco, cedar and berry character in this one. Medium-bodied with soft tannins and a fruity finish. Delicious red. Lovely balance. Best from 2005 through 2009. 90/100 Wine Spectator.

Records show that the noble CHATEAU RAMAFORT already existed in 1240. Vineyards were planted in the exceptional soil around the Château in the 17th century. Formidable changes have been made to the estate in the last three decades :
- Complete restructuring of the vineyard by the Rothschild family at the beginning of the seventies.
- High-tech improvements to vine-growing and wine-making by the new owners, Les Domaines CGR in 1990.
These investments combined with the type of soil are what enable the team of Les Domaines to produce an elegant, subtle vintage wine every year.
The vineyards, planted with 7 300 vine-plants per hectare encompass the village of Blaignan.
The breakdown in varieties is 50 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 50 % Merlot with an average age of 28 years.
The stainless steel fermentation vats are temperature-controlled.
CHATEAU RAMAFORT wines are kept for 12 months in oak casks renewed every two years, then aged in bottles in the Château\'s underground cellars.
