A Filippo Merlot Az.Agr.
Geschmack: Weit ausgreifend, beeindruckende Komplexität, langer, warmer Abgang. Ein Wundervoller Merlot!

PRODUCER: PODERI DEL PARADISO
DESCRIPTION:Just outside the city limits of San Gimignano, in one of the hottest parts of this appellation, we find the recently resconstructed winery, Poderi del Paradiso, surrounded by its vineyards. In the amphitheater shaped vineyards, an incredible maturation of tannins is achieved that led this producer to be widely praised for his powerful reds and wonderful Vernaccia.
HISTORY:The Cetti's, being one of San Gimignano's oldest famiies, have always taken winemaking very seriously. In 1973 Graziella Capelli, wife of Dr. Vasco Cetti, started to manage the farm (while her husband presided over part of the local hospital) by restructuring the entire property, replanting vineyards and building a new winery complex. 19 years later the first wines were finally vinfied and bottled in the new facility. Later Graziella's husband contributed to Vernaccia's recognition as the president of the Consortium of the Vernaccia of San Gimignano by promoting stricter rules for this appellation. Recently he was elected for a second term and is still its president today.
